Global Indian Film Awards (GIFA) was conceived to bring Indian Cinema closer to the Asian and Arab communities in the Middle East. GIFA will further promote Indian Cinema in the United Arab Emirates and worldwide where there is already a significant population that is familiar with and appreciative of Indian films. With over 17000 people attending the Global Indian Film Awards ceremony, it will be the biggest Indian film award event of its kind in the Middle East. Global Indian Film Awards will also be the first awards night hosted, based on the opinion polls held exclusively in Middle East.
